Summer's heating up in Town Lake Hills, but our North Pool remains temporarily closed due to delayed plaster and tile work. We're working closely with Cherokee County to complete the necessary inspections as quickly as possible, hopefully within the week. While this isn't the summer kickoff we'd hoped for, we're committed to getting our community facilities back in operation.

Our neighborhood podcast is gaining momentum with 26 downloads of our first episode! We've made several improvements based on your feedback, including a direct email feature on the Town Lake Hills Board website. Future episodes will expand to include updates from our SPLASH Committee, Social Committee, and Architectural Control Committee to keep you even better informed about all neighborhood matters.

For residents who've noticed damage to curbs or sidewalks from the recent asphalting project, help is available. Patrick Bradshaw, the SPLOST Roadway Program Director, can be reached at 770-721-7818 and has been very responsive in addressing resident concerns. The county has already marked several areas for repair, demonstrating their commitment to resolving these issues promptly. We've seen firsthand how quick action from neighbors has resulted in contractors returning to fix damaged areas.

As we navigate these early summer challenges together, we remain dedicated to transparent communication and swift resolution of community concerns. Keep an eye out for North Pool reopening announcements, and don't hesitate to reach out through our new direct email feature with any questions or feedback. Subscribe to our podcast for the most current updates, and help us grow our listener base by sharing with your neighbors!

Speaker 1:

Welcome to the Town Lake Hills Board Podcast, your go-to source for the latest updates and news in our neighborhood. We're here to keep you informed and connected about upcoming events, community initiatives and important neighborhood updates. Thanks for tuning in Well. Welcome back, gary, and this has got good news on the podcast. A couple things that we've improved on the podcast. First thing is, gary, we've got 26 downloads so far, which is actually pretty good for the first session, not too bad. I'm kind of hoping for a little bit more, but we've got 26 downloads. What do you think about that so far? I think it's a good start.

Speaker 1:

It is a good start and hopefully they're finding the information beneficial.

Speaker 1:

Well, we did get a couple comments online, which is great. We also updated a little bit. People can send us emails, believe it or not. They'll be able to send emails directly on the podcast if you go to Town Lake Hill's board, and they will be able to send us an email, and so we'll be able to respond to any questions that people may have, which is a good thing. We also are going to add a report from the SPLASH Committee and the Social Committee and, of course, dave's group. Gary, what's Dave's group officially called the Architectural Control Committee? The Architectural Control Committee? Yes, so we'll add reports to that on the upcoming podcast. But this podcast supposed to be real quick because we've had an update. So, gary, I'm going to let you take it. The first first thing we're going to talk about is that update on the north pool.

Speaker 2:

yeah, so, uh, from the last podcast I thought that everything had been completed from the spring tune-up, uh, but the plaster and the tile was delayed in getting done, and so we have not actually gotten through inspections yet for the North Pool. So the North Pool will remain closed until we get this inspection done. Hopefully that will happen this week. Generally speaking, it's my understanding the county tries to be pretty receptive to us, so as soon as we get that update we will pass that along to you. So stand by until we can get get all this stuff done.

Speaker 1:

So stay tuned Again. The North Pool is closed but we are working hard with Cherokee County to get that pool up and running. But we are working hard with Cherokee County to get that pool up and running. Gary, we also. You know, I was talking to a couple of neighbors this weekend and one of the neighbors was talking about damage that was kind of done with their or to their curb area during the asphalting kind of project. Do you have?

Speaker 2:

anything that you can add to those who may have experienced any type of damage during that event. I would say those individuals. They can reach out to the county. They've got a SPLOST Roadway Program Director. His name is Patrick Bradshaw and they can reach him at 770-721-7818 and my understanding is he's pretty receptive when he's gotten phone calls from residents already and they've gotten allied back out here and gotten things resolved.

Speaker 2:

If it's really curb and gutter, my guess is that's going to be something that the county itself will do. I don't know that, but I mean I know as an example, right, we've got there by the 17th green. We've got some sidewalk that got kind of destroyed. They've already got it marked and they're planning on replacing that and I know that as I walk around the community there are some locations already that have gotten curb and gutter repaired. So I'm thinking that that's going to be something that the county will handle, but they may be having an ally do it as well, but I don't know. But if they reach out to Patrick Bradshaw I'm sure he can direct them in the right direction.

Speaker 1:

Very good, very good, ladies and gentlemen. Again, patrick Bradshaw, 770-721-7818. And, gary, I've got nothing else. If you've got nothing else, let's just wish everybody a great summer. And, ladies and gentlemen, we will keep you informed about the North Pole and any other things that are happening in the neighborhood. Last word, gary Just enjoy the summer just enjoy the summer.

Speaker 1:

Well, that's it for today's update from the Town Lake Hills Board. Stay engaged, stay informed and, as always, thank you for being a vital part of our community. Until next time, take care and enjoy our neighborhood.
